Air China Cargo, la Compagnia Aerea Merci nata dalla coooperazione tra Air China & Cathay Pacific annunciata circa un 1 fa, ha effettuato a fine di aprile 2011 1° volo Chengdu - Shanghai.

• Obiettivo crescere nel trasporto Aereo Globale, attraverso una flotta di 12 B747-400 Freighter, completa entro il 2012.

Secondo i programmi, la Compagnia Aerea doveva iniziare le attivitΰ nell'estate dello scorso anno, ma alcune pratiche relative all'autorizzazione ad operare da parte delle Autoritΰ Cinesi hanno subito ritardi.

International Cargo Transport Ltd. of China, joint-ventured by Air China, Cathay Pacific Ltd., and Beijing Capital Inter Airport, was established on March 3rd 2003.

It has total assets of RMB 3.5 billion and registered capital of RMB 2.2 billion with Air China holding 51% as the controlling shareholder.

The freight computer system of Air China covers cargo in Beijing city and the airport, business departments in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Dalian, the Tianjin subsidiary company, and in the overseas locations of New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Frankfurt and Rome.

Air China serves the relief effort mainly through its cargo subsidiary, Air China Cargo.

Air China Cargo has allocated four of its eight all-cargo freighters, all of which are Boeing747s, to serve only the relief program, and has cancelled some of its flights to EU and U.S. to keep needed capacity for the transport of goods to Sichuan.

By May 15 2011, Air China Cargo and Air China’s bellyhold capacity of over 20 passenger flights to Sichuan Province has transported over 700 tons of relief goods.

International Cargo Transport Ltd. of China has a fleet of 4 Boeing 747-200 freighters, 8 Boeing 747-400 passenger-cargo mixed aircrafts, and 60 aircraft that have enough capacity for cargo transportation such as the Boeing 747, 767 and Airbus 340.

The company has the management rights for handling international cargo air routes from Beijing and Shanghai to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Portland, Frankfurt, Paris and London. Inter Cargo Transport Ltd. of China will receive a new Boeing 747-400 freighter this year and 3 new TU-204 freighters 2012 year.
