🔹 Travel for WINES - The Delicata Classic Wine Festival in Aug & Sept 2022



🔹 To celebrate the local wine industry and to bring the delicate palates of the local vineyards to the public, the main wine producers organise wine festivals each summer to celebrate that year’s harvest.
Offering entertainment and culture, all washed down with a large glass of fresh local wine, these festivals are a must-see for everyone!

🔹 Emmanual Delicata is a name that has been synonymous with good quality Maltese wine for more than 100 years.
With humble roots starting as a family business in 1907, Delicata can now be found in every corner of the islands.
The annual festival is held at the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta in August, and then another festival is held in Nadur, Gozo later during the month.
Each event brings a mix of fantastic wine, great local food, and enthralling entertainment.

🔹 Enjoy all the festival has to offer whilst taking in breathtaking views of the channel, over the Nadur Valley, taking in the islands of Comino and Malta.

The way it works is simple – Entrance is free.
To try the wines simply purchase a wristband for the night and a souvenir glass for €15.00 (which is then yours to keep) upon entrance to the gardens. The last glasses and wristbands are sold at 11.00pm, the last wine is poured at 11.30pm and the festival closes at midnight. No glasses or bottles will be sold or alcohol poured to anyone under the age of 17.

. and I.G.T Maltese wines including Victoria Heights of Gozo, Gran Cavalier, Grand Vin de Hauteville, Medina, Classic Collection, Dolcino and many more.
Apart from great wines and food, the festival will be hosting every night a spectacle of live entertainment by many leading singers and bands. On Friday’s opening night, entertainment will be provided by Ronald Briffa, MAE, Elaine Haber, Gozo Boy, Pierre Zammit and Straight Ahead, while on Saturday night, Pierre Cordina, Novel Band, Rebecca Bonello, Isaiah Muscat, Kelly Cassar and Upper Lip will be entertaining the crowds.

The festival will round up on Sunday night with Francesca Zarb, Sarah Bonnici, D Capital, Joseph Refalo, Jolene Samhan, and Cash & Band.
Cooking stalls will serve delicious barbecue food, suckling pig, traditional Gozitan ftajjar (Gozitan flat loaf), fresh baguettes, French crêpes and favourite Chinese dishes.
Soft drinks and water will also be on sale.
A private shuttle service will be available on return basis from Mgarr ferry terminal to the Delicata Classic Wine Festival in Nadur. The price for an adult’s return trip is €2.
