Da Bruxelles via libera a Thomas Cook: l’operatore britannico può comprare il tedesco Oger Tours.

La Commissione Europea autorizza - acquisto Tour Operator - del valore di 30 mln di euro – non ha impatti negativi sulla Concorrenza nel Mercato Comunitario.

Anche se darà vita sicuramente a sovrapposizioni, specie nel Mercato Tedesco; tuttavia la quota di mercato accumulata dai 2 operatori molto modesta, dice Bruxelles.

The German-owned Thomas Cook travel group is free to buy its domestic competitor Oger Tours, the European Commission.

Thomas Cook, Europe's second-largest Tour operator, unveiled the deal in July, forecasting annual synergies of more than 8 million euros.

The parties will continue to experience strong competition from TUI, Rewe, Alltours and FTI, as well as from numerous small independent package holiday operators, the EU executive said in a statement.

It said German consumers would still have access to package tours at competitive prices once the deal is done.
