EU project presents Sustainability Tools' for Kosovo Municipalities


The EU-funded project 'Support to Local Governance' presented on Thursday
(28 October 2010) GUIDELINES to improve the work of staff of municipalities as part of the ongoing decentralisation reform.

The project has produced several manuals and handbooks which will help municipalities increase service delivery and efficiency at work.

Until now the project has contributed in the legal framework that enables the reform process to advance; it has assisted with recommendations for finance status of municipalities, their urban planning, and has promoted and finalised a number of inter-municipal cooperation.

The project shares best EU practices with the municipalities’ staff to improve managerial competencies, delivery of cost effective public services and dialogue with citizens.
