Republic of Estonia prepares for the adoption of the Euro on the 1st January 2011, the Mint of Finland has announced that coin production for the Estonian version of the single currency has begun.

Estonia Tourism to benefit from Euro

Estonia's adoption of the euro could encourage more Brits to take a trip to the country in the near future, claims a Travel Expert.

Sean Tipton, a spokesman for ABTA - The Travel Association, believes that the strengthening pound against the euro could encourage more holidaymakers to seek destinations that offer good value-for-money.

He explained: - We [Brits] used to take around 80 per cent of our holidays to the eurozone and with the strengthening pound ABTA is confident that we will get back to those levels.

The sterling fell substantially against the euro in 2009, from around 1.4 to almost one-to-one, which meant the eurozone became relatively expensive for UK holidaymakers.
