da Mercoledi 17 e Venerdi 19 Nov 2010 su iniziativa della Presidenza di turno Belga si discutono i temi relativi al brand Europa e al suo potenziale e alle politiche necessarie per massimizzare la visibilità della destinazione Europa in macro Regioni come Asia o Sud America.

Si discute inoltre degli strumenti necessari ad implementare nelle politiche Europee il nuovo programma quadro sul Turismo attualmente allo studio della Commissione Europea e del Parlamento Europeo.

STRENGTHENING EUROPE'S ROLE AS THE LEADING TOURISM DESTINATION
18/19 Nov 2010 • Belgian EU Presidency org.Tourism forum in Malta EU

Tourism Ministers and operators of the industry, some 300 in all, will be attending the European tourism forum being held on 17-19 November 2010, the second time the forum is being held here, after that of 2005.

In the EU the industry generates five per cent of the gross domestic product, employing some 9.7 million in 1.8 million companies.

It is being organised by the Belgian EU Presidency, and will also be attended by Antonio Tajani, vice-president of the EC. Its main theme is the strengthening of the Eu Tourism industry and it will discuss the European action framework.

• Tourism in Malta, Dr de Marco said, has seen a record 1,053,348 Tourists visiting in the first nine months of this year.
Between January and August 2010 revenue amounted to €913,972,000.
