2010/2011 Shanghai (China) diventa 1° porto container del mondo 2° Singapore Top 10 World's Biggest, Busiest Ports |Harbor - 1° porto Europeo Rotterdam

Nel 2010 il porto cinese di Shanghai ha movimentato un traffico di oltre 29 milioni di teu.

- Shanghai Port Authority ha reso noto che il traffico dei container movimentato nell'intero 2010 dal porto è stato pari a circa 29,05 milioni di teu, volume che consente allo scalo cinese di insediarsi al 1° posto nella graduatoria dei principali porti container del mondo.

Il traffico movimentato lo scorso anno da Shanghai incrementato del 16% rispetto a 25,0 milioni di teu totalizzati nel 2009, superiore di circa 650 mila teu rispetto ai 28,4 milioni di teu movimentati nel 2010 dal porto asiatico di Singapore che è sceso al 2° posto nella classifica.

Complessivamente lo scorso anno il porto di Shanghai ha movimentato circa 650,0 milioni di tonn di merci, con una progressione del 10% rispetto al 2009

Maritime Port Authority (MPA) di Singapore ha comunicato il traffico delle merci movimentato nell'intero 2010 dal porto di Singapore che è di

502,5 milioni di tonn, con un incremento del 6,4% rispetto a 472,3 milioni di tonn. movimentate nel 2009.
Il traffico containerizzato è stato pari a circa 28,4 milioni di teu, con una progressione del 9,8% rispetto a quasi 25,9 milioni di container movimentati nel 2009.

• A settembre 2010 lo scalo calabrese di GIOIA, fino a poco tempo fa N.1 nel Mediterraneo, ha movimentato 2,115 milioni di teu (-5,1%).

In Italia a crescere, in termini di container, sono soprattutto gli scali liguri, tutti a due cifre fino agli ultimi mesi dell’anno 2010.

• Genova 1,620 milioni di teu e +14,6% sull’anno precedente (superando Barcellona, depurando il dato dal traffico in transito).

• La Spezia a novembre registrava 1,184 milioni di teu, ossia +22,8% rispetto ai primi 11 mesi del 2009.

China became the world’s biggest exporter after surpassing Germany last year, and Shanghai was its busiest port with just over 25 million TEUs passing through its facilities. The country’s biggest port operator, Shanghai International Port Group, posted a profit of 1 billion yuan ($149 million) in the first quarter after its container throughput rose 15.5%.

Controlled by the billionaire Li Ka-shing, Hutchison Port Holdings is the world’s largest container port operator with terminals in six of the nine busiest ports around the world. In Hong Kong, it operates 12 berths through its subsidiary and another two through a joint venture with COSCO.
Last year Hong Kong handled almost 21 million containers.

• The Rotterdam Port in the Netherlands ranks eighth with a size of 7.179 TEU which is the same as the Los Angeles port.
It ranks second among the busiest ports in the world.
