New to Malta ! from July 3 2011 The Airport Express • Arriva . . . Arriva Bus (Deutsche Bahn group) from more locations, on larger buses with more room for people and luggage

MALTA • The Airport Express is one of the new services which Arriva Bus (Deutsche Bahn group) will be introducing from July 3 2011, making it easier for people to travel to and from the Malta International Airport.

The service will provide access to the Airport from more locations, on larger buses with more room for people and luggage.

/////////// Managing Director for Arriva Bus (Deutsche Bahn group) in Malta, Keith Bastow, said, “The air-conditioned articulated buses we are using for these Express Routes have designated areas for luggage and can carry 133 passengers.”

• The four Express routes – X1, X2, X3, and X4 – go to Cirkewwa, St Julian’s, Bugibba and Valletta respectively. These Express services enable passengers to get to their chosen locality much faster.

• Mr Bastow said that anyone going to the major interchanges where the Express Routes stopped could also use the service to travel between the main stopping points on the routes more quickly.

//////// This weekend Arriva will continue its roadshow, heading to Sliema Ferries on Saturday between 0900h and 1400h and Mosta, next to the parish church, between 0900 and 1300h on Sunday.

//////// Arriva’s team will be meeting with people to show them the new buses, talk through what the new services will mean for local residents and answer any questions.
